Spencer, NC (WBTV) -

Deputies have arrested a teen on several charges after a search of a Spencer apartment turned up drugs and a weapon, according to a release from the Rowan County Sheriff's Office.

Sharod Raheem Mathis, 19, was arrested Thursday and charged with possession with intent to sell cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell controlled substances, possession of a firearm with altered serial number, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officials told WBTV that two different agencies executed the warrant that led to Mathis' arrest at an apartment on N. Yadkin Avenue after a three-week investigation into the sale of crack cocaine from the residence.

Mathis was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center and placed under a $25,000 bond, pending a first appearance in court on February 3.
