A Rowan County man and his girlfriend are in jail charged with sex crimes involving two 18 year old victims, according to the Rowan Sheriff's Office.
Thomas William Koontz, 41, and Donna Hulbert, 39, both of 1145 High Meadow Drive in Salisbury, face a number of charges.
Investigators say two 18 year old women who were friends of the couple were assaulted at the High Meadow Drive location. Few details of the incident have been released.
Koontz is charged with first degree rape, resisting police, a liquor law violation, second degree rape, and second degree sexual offense. Bond for Koontz is set at $100,000.
Hulbert is charged with first degree rape, possession of drug paraphernalia, aiding and abetting, second degree rape, and a second degree sex offense. Bond is set at $100,000.
