Deputies looking for duo in Lincoln Co. burglary

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two people they say were caught on surveillance tape breaking into a local business.

The break-in happened at the Triple B One Stop on Highway 274 in Vale around 4 a.m. on January 25.

Officials say the duo broke a small window, then one stayed outside while the other went into the store.

One of the burglars would go to the cash register, remove cash, then go from aisle to aisle picking up items and passing them out through the window to the person outside.

Deputies say the man inside the store appeared to be a white male with brown hair. He was wearing a partial ski mask, coveralls, dark gloves and dark boots.

The second man appeared to be a white male or a white female with her face partially covered, but at times pulled the cover down from her face.  She was wearing a thick jacket and glasses.

Officials say just under $1,500 in cash, a rack of pocket knives, cigarettes and rolling paper, lighters, tobacco pipes, and grocery items were stolen.

Anyone with information about the break-ins or the people responsible is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at (704)732-9050, the Lincoln County Communications Center at (704)735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at (704)736-8909.

If your Crime Stoppers tip leads to an arrest you could receive a reward of up to $1,000.
