Spring today, snow tomorrow

Are you ready for another big drop? Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron in the WBTV Newsroom. We were in the low 60's today. Tomorrow, the polar plunge is back, but this time, with a snowstorm attached. Eric Thomas is gauging how much accumulation our area can expect and will share that with us on WBTV News at 5:00.

This time, there is a true bill of indictment against CMPD Officer Randall Kerrick for shooting an unarmed man ten times. Last week, a grand jury heard from two witnesses and failed to return an indictment. Late this afternoon, a new grand jury heard testimony from four witnesses. The indictment means there is enough evidence to take Kerrick to trial on voluntary manslaughter charges. Our court reporters, Sharon Smith and Pamela Escobar, are gathering reaction in the community.

Another sick cruise ship in the news. Royal Caribbean is sending its vessel home early after a gastric-intestinal bug spread throughout the passengers. The cruise line says it will reimburse all 3,000 people.

Plus, let the hype begin, the Super Bowl combatants have arrived in New Jersey for Sunday's game. Forecast right now calls for 38-degrees at kickoff with only a 20% chance of rain.

Please join Maureen O'Boyle, Eric Thomas and me for the WBTV News at 5:00 in just a few!
