Conover police looking for car connected to Michigan missing persons case

CONOVER, NC (WBTV) -

Investigators in Conover are asking for the public's help in finding a car involved in a missing persons case in Michigan.

Michigan State Police are looking for the person who bought a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire that is silver in color, according to a news release from the Conover Police Department.

The vehicle was posted on Craigslist in Conover on Saturday, Jan. 18 for $450, police say. The it was sold the following day at Oak Grove trailer park for $300.

The person or persons who bought the car are described as a white male and female in there 30s or 40s and were driving a red Toyota, possibly a Camry.

Police say the people who bought the car are not in trouble but Michigan State Police want to question them about the sale of the car.
