We want to remind you that a warming facility is available in Columbus for people trying to get out of the cold.
SafeHouse will be open until 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon at 10th Street and 7th Avenue.
Shawn McCorry with the Red Cross explains how leaders decide when to provide the shelter.
"It's not really a range of temperatures," McCorry said. "There's multiple different factors. It has to do with humidity in the air, it has to do with wind chill, has to do with temperatures. There's multiple different factors that Muscogee County looks at whenever they go ahead and institute SafeHouse."
It could re-open again next week when sub-freezing weather is expected to return.
