COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A new way tonight to attract visitors to Columbus County.

The Columbus County Tourism Bureau and Greater Whiteville Chamber of Commerce will reveal a new logo and new message next Monday night.

The groups merged last year in an attempt to save money and promote Columbus County. They believe the new brand will help promote all towns in the rural county.

"Like Lake Waccamaw, in the Bolton, Delco area. There aren't chambers there. Active chambers, so we want to make sure they're represented. Chadbourn, Mayor Rector and I have been talking a lot because they're not represented either," said Jennifer Holcomb, Executive Director of The Columbus County Tourism Bureau.

Officials will first launch a new tourism website, then start promoting the new branding initiative through signs.
