Police: Man hid in back of woman's car, robbed her

Police in Kings Mountain are searching for a man who hid in the back seat of a woman's car and robbed her early Thursday morning.

According to the Kings Mountain Police Department, officers were called to the Elizabeth Estates Apartments, located along South Cherokee Street, around 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

A woman told police that a man was hiding in the back seat of her vehicle. When the woman, and her sister were pulling away from the complex, the man reportedly demanded money from both of the women.

He took the money and ran from the vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

"I don't know. It just really shocked me," one of the women said. She asked WBTV not to publish her name.

The man is described as a black male in 20's, approximately 5'7" and was last seen wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

"(He said) just give me your wallet or I'm gonna kill you. So, I gave him my wallet. That's all I could do," she said.
