Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron in the WBTV Newsroom.

The mother of a man shot ten times and killed by a CMPD officer, filed a lawsuit against the city of Charlotte, police Chief Rodney Monroe and Officer Randall Kerrick. She claims the shooting was unjustified and excessive use of force. Her son, Jonathan Ferrell, died after he wrecked his car and banged on a woman's door trying to get help.

Singer Justin Bieber is in hot water with the law. Police are searching his home trying to find evidence of an egg attack on his neighbor's home.

If you're planning a trip by air, you might want to wait until next week, when USAirways and American begin code sharing. Starting January 23rd, you can book flights or use your frequent flyer miles on either air carrier.
