We're going to be live with a report on a civil lawsuit expected to be filed today by the family of Jonathon Ferrell.  He's the unarmed man who was shot and killed by a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer last September.

A search is on right now for an escaped inmate.  Officers tell WBTV Jonathan Dixon disappeared from the Piedmont Correctional Institution in Salisbury early yesterday morning.

A dozen children are recovering this morning after drinking water tainted with bleach at a Kings Mountain daycare center.

A retired Tampa police officer is facing murder charges this morning.  Investigators say he shot a man during an argument over cell phone use at a Florida movie theater.

The City of Charlotte has awarded a contract to a company to build sidewalks in an area where two children were hit and killed by a vehicle.

Getting tickets to Sunday's AFC and NFC championship games may be tougher than expected for many fans ... some buyers have been shut out because of where they live.
