Lincoln Co. man charged with breaking into buildings in his neighborhood

LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Deputies in Lincoln County have charged an Iron Station man with breaking into property at several locations near his home.

Jordan Ray Vanzandt, 21, of Iron Station, is charged with breaking into three locations in the 1900 and 2000 block of Scenic Drive, Iron Station, according to the news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office. 

Vanzandt is accused of breaking into a storage garage and an unoccupied dwelling on Dec. 24, 2013.  Stolen in the break-ins were metal parts, copper tubing, a box of copper pieces and a boat motor.

In another break-in on Nora Drive, Vanzandt is accused of taking a number of vehicle parts including a Chevrolet motor, a Ford transmission and other parts. That break-in was reported on Dec. 21, 2013.

Vanzandt is charged with one felony count of Second Degree Burglary, Breaking and Entering a Building, and Larceny. 

He remains in jail under a $90,000 secured bond.
