Two arrested for trafficking marijuana in Lancaster County, deputies say

LANCASTER, SC (WBTV) -

Deputies in Lancaster County have arrested two people for trafficking marijuana in the county.

Mynone Rashad Blair, 36, and Lakeisha Sharmeka Gaston, 29, both of Lancaster, are charged with trafficking marijuana more than 10 pounds less than 100 pounds, according to a news release from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators were searching for Blair due to outstanding arrest warrant for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute. 

They located Blair leaving a residence on Pacer Drive and stopped the vehicle on Tuesday. 

Blair was arrested and a large amount of cash and marijuana was located in the vehicle, according to the release. 

As the investigation continued, investigators located more marijuana at a home in Heath Springs where Blair stated he also lived. 

Investigators also obtained a search warrant for a home on the 2100 block of Pacer Drive. 

Upon execution of the search warrant, investigators discovered more marijuana inside that residence. 

In total, approximately 26 pounds of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $25,000 was seized from the traffic stop and the two homes. 

Investigators also located and seized a large amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun during the investigation. 

Gaston was arrested at her home on Pacer Dr. after the execution of the search warrant.  Gaston also faces charges of Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and resisting arrest. 

Both subjects were jailed at the Lancaster County Detention Center. 

They were released the following day on a $40,000 Surety Bond.
