How South Georgians protect homes from intruders

Its typical to see a spike in burglaries during the holiday season. Homeowners use a number of precautions to  protect themselves including guns.

No charges are filed against a metro Atlanta homeowner who shot and killed a burglar earlier this week.

22-year old Natavious Willingham was breaking into a back door at a home in East Point when a man inside the home opened fire on him.

Willingham collapsed and died in the yard. Homeowners here in South Georgia say they rely on things like security systems and pets.

"I have security so I don't worry about no one bothering me, but if they do its gonna go off  because I leave it on a lot, I leave it on," says Angela Tumbling.

You should call police if you see anything suspicious in your neighborhood.
