ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WECT/WITN) - A pedestrian in Onslow County was killed just a few hours before the New Year in a hit and run accident, according to WITN.
Highway Patrol is looking for the suspected driver of a silver car, who they believe hit a man walking on Highway 24 Tuesday night before 8:00.
Trooper Sean Spring says 30-year-old Earl Dupey died after he was struck by the vehicle on Highway 24 in Hubert, near Hubert Boulevard.
Trooper Spring says Dupey was airlifted to Wilmington.
Troopers are now asking for your help in finding the silver GM car that took off from the scene.
Officials says the car is missing its passenger side mirror.
