Life can be like the movies, Love Actually at CLT airport

Holiday travel at Charlotte Douglas Airport can be stressful. But it can also be about seeing loved ones. There's a reason all those cars were sitting in traffic to get to the arrival doors Christmas Eve.

Before a plane take offs, there are those drop offs.

And to borrow words from Love Actually, a movie that opens up in another airport at Christmas time, "It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy but it's always there."

"This is a Christmas homecoming," said April Dixon in baggage claim holding a welcome home sign for her son, "So, we're excited about that."

"I don't get to come home too often. So, it's big," said Nelson Dixon who is in the Air Force.

His mom knows how they will spend Christmas Eve.

"We get together with family and we eat and we talk," said April Dixon, "We fellowship and that's going to be wonderful. Everybody is waiting to see him."

Kathy Brown is waiting for her Christmas Eve baby and her grandkids. They live in Toronto. 3-year-old Adella hasn't seen her nana for six months.

"She loves her nana. She misses her because we're a long ways away," said Amy Mullins.

Mullins is the Christmas Eve baby.

"I don't get to see her enough so and it's hard being that far away," said Mullins, "Each day that we get is special."

Life can be like the movies, "If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
