The low pressure system responsible for dumping more than an inch of rain across the Upstate and causing slippery traveling conditions in the mountains is well off to our north and east, allowing us to salvage the second half of our weekend.
Skies will continue to clear up throughout the day with temperatures peaking in the mid-50s for the upstate and lower 40s in the mountains. Winds will be light in the upstate, but we will see breezy winds throughout the day in western North Carolina with gusts as fast as 30 mph.
Lows Sunday night will drop into the lower 30s and upper 20s area-wide. With high pressure building across southeast we will see mostly sunny skies for the majority of the work week and pleasant afternoon temperatures.
