Sheriff: 3 people shot, 1 assaulted in Rock Hill

Four people were taken to the hospital after a shooting Saturday morning in Rock Hill.

According to the York County Sheriff's Office, an officer was dispatched to the Palmetto Sports Bar at the corner of Firetower Road and Porter Road in reference to a man being shot at about 2:00 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, the officer observed a large group of people in the parking lot and two men, later identified as Zackary Cleveland and Bobby Trader, lying on the ground. Witnesses informed the officer that Cleveland and Trader had been shot.

The officer then noticed another man on top of a person later identified as Justin Faile. Witnesses told the officer that Faile was the shooter. According to the officer's report, there was a Glock handgun on the ground a short distance from Faile. The officer hand handcuffed Faile and left in the custody of a nearby Rock Hill officer.

EMS arrived and determined Cleveland had been shot in the leg and foot and Trader had been shot multiple times. While EMS was treating the victims, it was determined Faile needed medical attention as well. Officers said he had been badly beaten.

According to the report, Samuel Fitcher was also shot in the arm.

Faile and Trader were taken to Carolinas Medical Center. Cleveland and Fitcher were taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.

Deputies are continuing the investigation, but say there is no danger to the public.
