LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The search for a missing juvenile led to a woman's arrest on drug charges Tuesday.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at a home in the 7700 block of Kenhurst Drive Tuesday night and were overwhelmed with a strong odor of marijuana when a juvenile opened the door. An arrest report states the juvenile gave the deputies his marijuana and paraphernalia.
When Krisenda Y. Allen, 33, returned home, she gave deputies consent to search the premises, including her locked bedroom. Inside the bedroom, deputies said they found about 4.5 grams of what appeared to be cocaine, about one-fourth of an ounce of marijuana and hydrocodone tablets in addition to numerous baggies and several scales, all indicative of narcotics trafficking. Deputies also found a handgun and nearly $400 in cash.
Investigators said three juveniles, ages 9, 12 and 15 were inside the residence with the drugs and paraphernalia.
Allen is charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
There was no word on the status of the juvenile deputies were looking for.
