Report: Man and wife killed in Concord wreck

A man and wife were killed in a wreck in Concord Monday afternoon, according to a report from the Concord Police Department.

The accident happened around noon on Old Airport Road near Setter Lane.

Police say it appears that a 2004 Ford Taurus, being driven by a 23-year-old man, was traveling northeast on Old Airport Road when he "rounded a slight curve in the roadway and crossed the center line into the opposite lane of travel resulting in a head-on collision" with a 1997 Toyota truck.

Two people in the Toyota truck, identified as 73-year-old Carol McGrogan Dulin and 66-year-old James O'Neal Dulin, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators tell WBTV the Dulins were husband and wife.

The driver of the Ford Taurus was taken to Carolinas Medical Center – Northeast where he was treated for his injuries and released, the report states.

Officials say the crash is still under investigation.
