GASTON COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Police have uncovered what they say is a "chop shop" for stolen Honda automobiles at a home in Gaston County.

Police say a suspicious pickup truck led them to a home in the 500 block of Oakwood Lane where they discovered two Hondas stolen from Hickory and Charlotte. The cars had been stripped of their engines and transmissions.

A search of the building uncovered numerous Honda engines, transmissions, body panels, wheels, and interior parts.

Officers noticed suspicious activity just before 3:00 a.m. Sunday near Oakwood Lane at Hickory Grove Road. Police say a pickup truck fled when they saw the officers approaching. Shortly after, police located the truck at a home on Oakwood Lane.

Two Gastonia men are charged in the case. 25-year-old Patrick Brandon Hinson and 23-year-old Curtis Lee Hinson are charged with two counts each of possession a stolen vehicle and with chop shop activity.

Police are still investigating and say that more arrests are expected.
