For the 2nd straight week, there are some big shake ups in the FFN Top 10. 3 new teams enter the poll including 1 that is making their first ever appearance in the poll.
Coming in at #10 are the Jaguars of Forestview. It is their first time ever in the FFN Top 10. The programs is going thru a bunch of first this season. Friday, they will play in the school's first ever Western Regional Final when they take on #3 Concord. If they were to win, they would go to the state title game for the first time ever and will win their 11th game of the season which will also be a school record in football.
Coming in at #9 is Butler. Week 4 was the last time the Bulldogs were in the FFN Top 10. After starting the season 2-2, Butler has won 9 of their last 10 games.
The new #8 team is Monroe. The Redhawks were in the FFN Top 10 last season in Week 15. Their stay was only for 1 week. This program has been on a roll after back to back loses in September. They have won 9 in a row heading into Friday's 2AA Western Final as they host rival Parkwood.
Mallard Creek and Northwestern continue to be #1 and #2, but the gap is closing. The Mavericks beat out the Trojans by only 6 points. The Trojans will play for the South Carolina AAAA Division 2 State Championship this Saturday while the Mavericks will take on Butler in the 4AA Western Regional Final on Friday.
Concord is up 2 spots to #3 after giving South Point their only loss of the year last Friday 21-13.
Charlotte Christian holds steady at #4 while Crest is up 2 spots as well to #5.
The new #6 team this week is Charlotte Catholic. They move up 3 spots after an impressive win over Southeast Guilford 56-30.
Davidson Day's season is over after winning the NCISAA Division 2 state title and they are up a spot in the poll to #7.
