Hunt for a shooter

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron, back from a long Thanksgiving weekend.

Tonight at 5:00-- a young husband hears someone inside his home. For safety sake, he takes his pregnant wife down the street. He returns to the home to investigate. Moments later, his wife hears gunshots. Now, 25-year-old Marcus Kauffman is fighting for life after taking a bullet to the head. We're checking with law enforcement to see where the hunt for the shooter stands.

It's not June in January, but Eric Thomas says it will be unseasonably warm this week. And with higher temps comes wetter weather. Eric is tracking a storm system that could also bring extreme cold to other parts of the country.

Should Mecklenburg County spend 2.3 Million to upgrade old Memorial Stadium? That's the question for debate at tonight's Commission meeting. Our reporter Colleen Harry will have the latest from the government center.
