Two men were arrested in Yadkin County after deputies say they forced their way into a home and handcuffed two people while robbing them. They did it all, according to officials, after saying they were sheriff's deputies.

The incident took place on November 27, at a home on Beauty Drive in East Bend.

The duo, later identified as 28-year-old Darrell Wayne Pinnix and 27-year-old Jerry Lyndon Blakely, knocked on the victim's door and identified themselves as Yadkin County Deputies.

The men, who were wearing dark hoodies and masks, then pushed their way into the house while carrying a knife and a hammer.

They tied and handcuffed the victims, then asked for money and credit cards. They also took prescription drugs, the official report states.

Both victims were able to describe one of the men from a previous encounter in the day, and both were captured quickly, officials said.

Both Pinnix and Blakely were charged with one count of felony first degree burglary, two counts of felony second degree kidnapping, two counts of felony conspire traffic opium/heroin, one count of impersonating law enforcement, one count of simple assault, and one count of assault handicapped person.

Blakely received a secured $250,000 bond and Pinnix was given an unsecured bond $250,000 bond.

They are both due in court on December 4.

The Yadkin County Sheriff's Office advises if a resident is unsure of the identity of person at their door to call to the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office at (336)679-4217.
