Rantankerous [ran-tank'uhr-us] (adjective) - A combination of rant [to speak in a wild or extravagant manner] and cantankerous [contentious, disagreeable]. The word is a creation of the Raycom Digital Hub staff and the only suitable description for the epic arguments between Brian "What We Learned" Tynes and George "Hot Reads" Jones, which until now have never been recorded.

(RNN) - The Iron Bowl is shaping up as one of the greatest games in the history of the series - and possibly in the sport, period - but Brian takes the opportunity to mention that other materials would make a better bowl.

Really? There's a true sports fan for you, folks - always thinking outside the tackle box.

But just in case you care what happens in the actual game, we have analysis on that, too.

Not long after the Crimson Tide and Tigers finish duking it out, Missouri will try to prove to the world for the umpteenth time why they deserve to be taken seriously.

They might want to start by allowing somewhere south of 1,000 passing yards to Texas A&M.
