Hello. This is Christine Nelson sending you this quick email from my desk in the newsroom. Today is Friday, November 22. Here is a look at the stories we're covering when you turn on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m.

LIVE: 50th anniversary

All eyes will be on Dallas, Texas this morning, as Americans will recognize the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. We learned about the ceremonies taking place today. We will show you live pictures from Dealey Plaza in Dallas where events will be taking place today. Where were you when you learned about JFK's assassination? Or do you remember your parents/grandparents talking about that fateful day? Share you story on the WBTV News Facebook page at wbtv.com/facebook.

OVERNIGHT: Two shooting investigations in Charlotte

A busy night for police after two shootings took place in west Charlotte, just miles apart from each other. Cam Man Ron Lee has video from the scenes and will let us know if someone is being sought and whether the shooting are even connected.

A bizarre twist in a story we first told you about two weeks ago. That was when we interviewed a man grieving over his grandfather's death. Now that same man has been charged for his grandfather's murder!

Plus... A great story from reporter Astrid Martinez. She followed a group of local college students determined to help young women find the right path in life. How so? Watch her reports at 5:20 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
