Maiden man sentenced to prison on narcotics charges

A Maiden man was convicted to nearly 15 years in prison last week.

Bryan Keith Harris, 35, of Maiden, was found guilty of possession/distribution of methamphetamine precursors, possession of firearm by convicted felon, breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods and possession of a stolen firearm, according to the District Attorney's Office for the 25th district.

Harris was sentenced to no less than 100 months and no more than 175 months in the North Carolina Division of Adult Correction.

The crimes occurred in February 2013 in the City of Maiden and involved the breaking and entering and larceny of more than $10,000 in property from two residences in Maiden.

One of the items stolen was an iPhone and investigators used the GPS function to locate the iPhone and other stolen items and subsequently discovered the remnants of a methamphetamine lab.

Harris was taken to the Division of Adult Correction for processing.
