Spartanburg County Deputies said they arrested a man for stabbing a man who tried to intervene in a fight in Pauline on Friday night.
Deputies said Michael Petty of Gwinn Mill Rd. in Pauline is charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.
At about 7 p.m. Friday, deputies said they were called in reference to a stabbing on Blackstock Road, where they met the victim, who said he had been repeatedly stabbed.
The victim said Petty and another man were having a dispute about money, when Petty tried to stab the other man and the victim got between them, according to deputies.
Deputies said the Petty then stabbed the victim several times.
Deputies said the victim was speaking to them while he was being transported to the hospital with multiple stab wounds.
A judge set Petty's bond at $10,000 on Saturday.
