Smoke from the wildfire in Linville Gorge is causing air quality problems. The plume was getting pushed northward into Boone, but today, people in many other areas can smell the burning. The good news from Eric Thomas is-- rain tonight could help dampen it down after 1,800 acres have been charred.
We're covering the first court appearance for a former youth pastor, Robert "Bobby" Price, accused of molesting several children both in Cabarrus and Mecklenburg Counties. Price was charged in October after returning to the United States from Nicaragua.
