CONCORD, NC (WBTV) -

A former youth pastor at a Concord church who now faces multiple charges of sexually molesting children was in court on Friday in Concord.

Robert "Bobby" Price was youth pastor at King's Way Baptist Church for 12 years, before leaving with his family for Nicaragua and mission work in 2011, right around the time that the first allegations of abuse surfaced.

Price faces five counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, with three of the charges stemming from alleged activity in Cabarrus County. He is out of jail on $50,000 bond.  A lawsuit by one of the alleged victims has since been settled, but the terms have not been disclosed.

The alleged victim says he was abused for three years by Price, from the age of 12 to the age of 16, and that the abuse happened in Price's car, at the church, and even in Price's home while his wife and children slept.

In court on Friday Price was given a December 16 court date for a probable cause hearing on the charges.
