CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A woman who was injured in an accident Monday died in the hospital Wednesday, and police say they are now looking for a person of interest in the case.

The accident happened on November 11, around 11:30 a.m. on North Tryon Street near I-485.

Police say a 1994 Acura Integra was traveling outbound on N. Tryon Street when it began to skid out of control, across the median, and into the inbound lanes.

The Integra then struck a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer that was traveling inbound, causing both vehicles to run off road.

MEDIC responded to the scene and transported an occupant from the Acura, later identified as 22-year-old Noelle Nadine Chiara Dixon, and both occupants of the Chevrolet to the hospital.

Wednesday, at 12:07 p.m., Dixon was pronounced deceased at the hospital as a result of the injuries she sustained in the crash.

During the course of the investigation police identified a person of interest, and say they need to interview them.

Anyone who knows the identity of the person pictured should contact the Major Crash Investigation Unit at (704)432-2169, or Crimestoppers at (704)334-1600.

Any witnesses are being asked to call Detective Kevin Allred at (704) 432-2169.
