WW II Vet Killed; Cannon Presser Today

Ron Lee will be live from Rowan County where an 87-year-old World War II veteran and his daughter were assaulted...the veteran died...the search is on now for the killer.  Detectives believe robbery may have been the motive.

Police in Gastonia are looking for two men who robbed a tattoo parlor on West Franklin Boulevard at gunpoint.  We'll tell you why police say this was an unusual crime.

This morning a Gaston County man is in jail on two million dollars bond.  Robert Kerby is a daycare owner, accused of molesting children he was trusted to care for.  The state suspended the license for his business, Caron's Care Daycare in Stanley.

Charlotte mayor-elect Patrick Cannon will be making his first post-election appearance today... he's holding a news conference at Romare Bearden Park.

The first meeting of the newly-formed commission overseeing Charlotte-Douglas International airport will be held today.  As of now, the commission has no power over the airport.

The Charlotte Bobcats get their second win in a row...beating Toronto last night, 92 - 90.  The Bobcats are now 3 - 2 on the season.
