WHITE PINE, TN (WSMV) -

An east Tennessee child died on Halloween after jumping from a moving minivan.

The child was killed while trick-or-treating with family in White Pine, which is in Jefferson County.

The family was going door to door in the family van. According to WBIR, the side door to the van was open when police say the 4-year-old jumped from the van and was run over by the back wheel around 7 p.m.

The child later died at UT Medical Center.
