LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

A Lincoln County man who was last seen Oct. 3 leaving his home on Eaker Road has been found, WBTV's Steve Crump reports.

Crump was with the man's family when they got the call.

Family members say 42-year-old Glenn Ray Johnson was walking to the Walmart in Cherryville on Oct. 3.

Detectives have confirmed Johnson called a taxi from Walmart. The taxi transported him to the Greyhound Bus Station in Charlotte.

His family says he went to Charlotte on his own and met up with the wrong crowd and was robbed.

Johnson has suffered several strokes, leaving him partially paralyzed on one side. He walks with a limp. Johnson is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing about 280 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

According to a release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Johnson is believed to be without funds and possibly staying at a homeless shelter in Charlotte. Detectives are concerned for his well being.

Investigators entered Johnson into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person.

In addition to information about Johnson's whereabouts, detectives are also seeking information on at least two persons of interest who have been using Johnson's credit or debit card at ATMs in Charlotte.

Another person has Johnson's cell phone. Bank surveillance video shows the card was used at least two times on 10-21-13.

The first time the card was used at 12:29 a.m. and the second time at 6:16 a.m. on 10-21-13.

The last attempted transaction occurred at a McDonald's on 10-28-13 but was denied twice before being approved for $3.83.

They were operating an extended cab pickup truck, white in color, with a large toy on the dash.
