Police: wanted fugitive arrested on Friday

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - During a walking patrol if the Oak Park Apartments police discovered a wanted fugitive on Friday according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police say Dymond Jevon-Demetrius Moore was arrested for possession of marijuana around 7:17 p.m.

Detectives say Moore had originally lied about his name was wanted out of Virginia for two counts of robbery where he shot both victims.

Moore is in custody with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.

CMPD says detectives in Virginia stated they had been looking for Moore in Virginia and Raleigh where he is facing additional charges.
