CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The 14-year-old boy charged in the death of a high school math teacher in Massachusetts, and who previously attended schools in Clarksville, TN, allegedly used a box cutter to kill her, according to CNN.

Law enforcement sources close to the investigation told CNN that Philip Chism killed Colleen Ritzer inside Danvers High School's second floor bathroom at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Law enforcement sources said Chism followed Ritzer, 24, in and punched her a few times before using the box cutter to kill her.

The sources allege Chism later rolled her body out in a recycling bin, before dumping her in the woods behind the school.

The sources told CNN the suspect changed his clothes after the alleged attack.

Ritzer was reported missing late Tuesday night after she didn't come home from work or answer her cell phone.

So far, investigators have no clear motive for the killing.

Mark Nolan, of Clarksville, who coached Chism in a local youth soccer program for several years when Chism was 9 or 10, said there was nothing unusual about him.

"He didn't stand out. He wasn't a troublemaker," Nolan said. "He had no problem with other kids. He wasn't overly aggressive."

Nolan recalled that Chism's father was in the military and his mother was a social worker. Both parents attended their son's soccer matches, Nolan said.

Chism was arraigned Wednesday in Salem, MA, on a murder charge and ordered held without bail.

A spokesperson for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System confirms Chism attended Rossview Middle School as recently as last school year and also previously attended Burt Elementary School.
