The FOX19 Morning News is excited to announce that Jacki Jing will join long time FOX19 Morning News Anchor Rob Williams in co-anchoring the FOX19 Morning News, weekdays from 4:30 a.m. until 9 a.m.
Jacki comes to Cincinnati from Denver, CO where she reported and anchored for KDVR/KWGN-TV's morning news. "Jacki is a fun and exciting person to be around, her energy is contagious," said FOX19 General Manager Bill Lanesey. "She is the perfect fit for our morning newscast."
Jacki is a Binghamton University graduate, where she played Division I NCAA Volleyball. Jing began her career as a reporter in Binghamton, NY. She then became a morning news anchor at WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts where she was part of a team that won the Associated Press Award for their coverage of the Springfield tornado in 2011.
"Journalists are asked to wear many hats, particularly in the morning," said FOX19 News Director Kevin Roach. "Jacki strikes the right balance between being a strong serious journalist, while also the kind of person who will put a smile on your face in the morning."
"I am so excited about moving to Cincinnati," Jacki said. "I felt an instant connection with this city the first time I visited. From seeing the magnificent skyline while driving down the cut in the hill to meeting Rob (Williams), Frank (Marzullo) and Denise (Johnson), everything just clicked for me. The whole morning team has been great, I feel like I've known them for years already."
