WBTV Speak Out Editorial: Men Who Care - About Students

"Speak Out" is an expression of opinion from the Editorial Board of WBTV, and is presented by General Manager, Nick Simonette.

The group Men Who Care Global is on a mission this school year.

They've adopted Ranson IB Middle School to help mentor young African-American male students.

They plan to be there every week, offering encouragement.

And they'll help show young men that they can achieve great things in life despite the obstacles they may face.

Parents give this initiative an "A."

They believe the earlier their young boys can learn from positive role models the better.

The group did the same thing at West Charlotte High last year with much success.

And you've probably seen them at uptown events in their signature orange t-shirts.

Always reaching out to young people…

Always offering encouragement and leadership.

Always providing great examples of what IS possible.

We salute Men Who Care Global for all they do in our community.

Not only can their efforts help turn lives around…

…they can help strengthen our society for years to come.

Tell us what YOU think. SpeakOut@wbtv.com
