Police: Man wanted for interfering with monitoring device, damage to property

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) said they are searching for a Charlotte teen with outstanding warrants for interfering with an electronic monitoring device and damage to property.
   
Josh Varnadore, 17, cut off his electronic monitor on Friday near his home on Louvain Drive according to police.
    
Varnadore was released from jail on Wednesday and was on court order to wear the device, the release states.
 
Investigators say Varnadore has been previously arrested in Mecklenburg County for burglary, auto theft and assault charges.
 
Anyone with information on Varnadores' whereabouts should immediately contact the Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) at (704)336-VCAT or call 911.
