(WMC-TV) - Friends and family are posting fliers around the city looking for the killers responsible for taking a father's life.
Armed with hammer and nail, Jim Reedy and his crew hope to help solve the murder of their friend.
"He was a true hero," said Reedy. "He was just a super guy, loved by a million people. Everybody really loved J.P. Shelley."
Shelley was working at this house on Scottsdale Avenue when he was robbed, shot, and killed on Friday. But Shelley's friends have raised $25,000 in reward money, and they are hitting the streets spreading the word.
Their flyers are everywhere, taped to utility poles up and down Scottsdale and stapled to the trees.
"We're asking for help from everybody out there," said Reedy.
They want whoever did it to pay, and they are willing to pay for what they want.
Reedy says they will be in other parts of the city the rest of the week. If you know anything call CrimeStoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
