Two Charlotte brothers are recovering from multiple stab wounds, after police say they were randomly attacked at a local park.
Joseph, 27, and Ryan, 20, asked us not to use their last names out of fear that their attackers may strike again. The two were hanging out with friends around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Allen Hills Park in Charlotte. Joseph says three men walked out of the woods and began attacking them.
"I kept on walking away. Trying to walk away from it," Joseph said.
Joseph received several stab wounds on his body, but his younger brother Ryan suffered more serious injuries.
"The males came up and said: "This is my hood what are you guys doing in my hood?" Ryan said.
The brothers say the men took their cell phones, $60 in cash and an iPad. Joseph says he stabbed one of the men in self defense. Police later identified that man as Ronnie Davis, 18. Officers arrested Davis at a Charlotte hospital. As for the other two men, detectives are following all leads.
"I hope they get what they deserve later on in life," Joseph said.
As of Monday night, Ronnie Davis is still behind bars, facing charges for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
