MOORE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A teenager has been arrested after deputies said he called 911 to a report a shooting, allegedly in an effort to get emergency responders to his address faster.

According to the report from the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out initially to respond to a report of a shooting.

But upon arrival, deputies found out that there was no shooting, but a woman in need of medical attention for a possible heart attack, the report stated.

Deputies said Adrian Baumgartner, 18, admitted to calling 911 and reporting a shooting in an effort to "get help faster".

The report states Baumgartner was belligerent and cursing at officers while medical attention was being rendered to the woman at the home.

Deputies also said they told Baumgartner that "making it a shooting would not make the ambulance faster and they wouldn't come in until (deputies) had cleared them in."

Baumgartner is charged with unlawful use of 911.
