Tickets on sale Oct. 1 for 2013 Belk Bowl

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Tickets for the 2013 Belk Bowl will go on sale today, Tuesday, October 1st, at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketmaster. College football's only bowl game to call the Carolinas home, the Belk Bowl will take place on Saturday, December 28th, with an 3:20 p.m. kickoff and televised nationally on ESPN. It features a matchup of the Atlantic Coast Conference and the American Athletic Conference, and is played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

Upper Level Seats begin at just $35 and Lower Level Seats start at $75. Club Level Seats start at $100. Individual tickets are available only through Ticketmaster. To purchase tickets, please visit any Ticketmaster outlet in the southeast or online at www.ticketmaster.com. To order from Ticketmaster by phone, call 1-800-745-3000. Tickets are also available at the Carolina Panthers Box Office, located at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Multi-Grammy nominee and CMA Entertainer of the Year Blake Shelton will be the featured act at the 2013 Belk Bowl FanFest, taking place outside the stadium before the game. The Belk Bowl FanFest is free to the public and will begin at 11:00 a.m., with Shelton scheduled to begin his performance at 1:30 p.m.

The Belk Bowl has averaged almost 60,000 fans each year, with three sellouts. In its history, the game has reached over 30 million households while drawing almost 400,000 fans to FanFest.
            
The Charlotte Sports Foundation, a non-profit organization, runs the Belk Bowl and serves as the local organizing committee for the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game. The Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game, in its eighth year, will be played in Charlotte on December 7, 2013. The winner of the championship earns the ACC bid to play in the Discover Orange Bowl, if not selected for the BCS National Championship.
