Matilda the talking turkey

Matilda came to the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue like many of the domesticated turkeys do, she fell off of a turkey truck in route to be slaughtered.

The volunteers first noticed something special about her right away. She talks. Well, not exactly but Matilda is a lot more vocal than the other turkeys. And when she gets going, she sounds very much like she's trying to say, "hello".

Matilda gets along very well with the volunteers and the other birds at the rescue. But she hasn't quite ruffled the feathers of one male turkey who's the mascot of the rescue, "Mr. T."
