Gaston Co. school evacuated after bomb threat

GASTONIA, NC (WBTV) -

Students were briefly evacuated Friday morning at a Gaston County school.

A school spokeswoman said that Ashbrook High School was evacuated around 10:30 a.m. after someone called in a bomb threat.

Gaston County Police and a bomb team were called in to sweep the school.

Nothing was found and students were allowed to return to class.

A phone message was sent out to parents at 11:30 a.m.
