Police are investigating a shooting in Over-the-Rhine Tuesday evening after a man was shot in the leg.
It happened near Clay and Melindy streets just before 11 p.m. In fact, it happened near Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach's home.
Seelbach tweeted, "@ChrisSeelbach: Just held my hand on the leg of a guy who had been shot right outside our door. Very shaken up. Hope he's ok."
FOX19 caught up with Seelbach, who told us he heard some loud 'booms' and noticed a man stumbling in the street outside of his window. The man claimed he was shot, and Seelbach immediately called 911.
The councilman then applied pressure with his hand to the man's gunshot wound until an ambulance arrived. He was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Neither suspect information nor the victim's condition were immediately available.
