Sheriff: Admitted drug dealer gets 18 years in prison

LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -

A Lincoln County drug dealer has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after he admitted that he was a habitual felon.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Hughdaly Marquese Wilson was convicted in Lincoln County Superior Court last week.

He was convicted on two felony counts of possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine and sell and deliver cocaine.

Wilson, who has a lengthy criminal record, was sentence to 85 to 111 months on the first charge and 80 to 105 months to run at the expiration of the first sentence. 

He is expected to be released in September 2031. 

Wilson was transported from the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center to Central Prison in Raleigh to begin his sentence.
