MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police say they responded to a call for a possible drowning Tuesday night after a woman was pulled from the lazy river at her hotel.
The county coroner confirmed that 70-year-old Janet Snow died Thursday at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center due to complications from the near drowning.
Snow was staying at the Holiday Pavilion Hotel on 12th Avenue North. As she was swimming in the lazy river, her son noticed her go under the water and not surface again after a minute or so.
He pulled Snow from the water and called for rescue crews, who arrived and gave her CPR. She was taken to a nearby hospital with a pulse.
