CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - Police in Concord say they've arrested a Rowan County man after a deadly shooting in Concord from three months ago.
According to the Concord Police Department, 30-year-old Mario Sundray Douglas was fatally shot along the 200-block of Alberta Court, in Concord, in July.
Officers say they were called the area to the report of a shooting around 12:45 PM on July 13.
Douglas' sister, Monique Price, says he got a call to meet someone outside a store across from Alberta Court. She says Douglas ended up being confronted and attacked by three men.
When her brother ran, she says he was shot in the back.
On Tuesday, police say they arrested 29-year-old Cecil Jemaine Clay, of East Spencer.
Clay was arrested without incident around 9:00 AM in Salisbury, NC with assistance from Salisbury Police Department. He was charged with one count of First Degree Murder.
Investigators say Clay was acquainted with Douglas and investigators believe the shooting is related to a domestic situation.
Price told WBTV that Douglas and the mother of one of his children got into an argument the night before the shooting. Douglas was a father of two children, ages five and 11.
