An international fashion retailer has announced details surrounding another expansion of its reach into the Charlotte-area.
H&M says it is building its newest store at the Northlake Mall in north Charlotte.
Opening by late fall, in time for the holidays, the Northlake store will be approximately 25,600 square feet in the former Borders Books location at the front of the center.
Northlake also has broken ground on a parking lot expansion to accommodate increased growth and traffic.
The new lot will be adjacent to Entry 1 and is expected to open in late October.
"Charlotte has wanted an H&M for a long time, and we're truly excited to be welcoming them to our retail lineup," says Phil Morosco, Northlake Mall general manager.
