Vote NOW for FFN Top 10-- Week 5

Posted: Updated:
CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Time now to vote for the FFN Top 10 poll for Week 5 and there are sure to be some changes this week as 4 of the top 10 lost this past week.

#4 Independence played on Thursday and lost their first game of the season to undefeated West Meck 40-33.  The Hawks are now 4-0, but will that get them into the Top 10?

The losses in the top 10 continued on Friday.

#8 Charlotte Catholic lost to #2 Mallard Creek 52-7.  That game was at Catholic.  A big statement win by the Mavericks.

That loss concluded a tough start to the 2013 season by Catholic.  Their first 4 games had to be the toughest in the state so to come out 2-2 says a lot about the Cougars.

#5 Butler went on the road and lost to 3-1 Mount Tabor 25-19 in Winston-Salem.  The Bulldogs go back on the road Friday and head to Rockingham for a battle with 4-0 Richmond Senior.

#9 South Caldwell suffered their first loss of the season as they fell to A.C. Reynolds 50-7.  The loss of leading rusher Zac Pollard certainly has hurt this team that was a threat to challenge for a 4A state championship before the season.

4 teams losing opens the door for some new blood to get into the Top 10 but you the viewers have to vote them in.  You can either write them in the comment box below or you can tweet your vote in at #FFN3.

The poll will close Wednesday at noon.

We will unveil the new FFN Top 10 driven by Town and Country Ford Wednesday during the 6 and 11 sports.
